10/11/2009The project will establish a CO2 lab on Svalbard as a basis for CO2 research in collaboration between UNIS and industrial and academic partners. Phase 2a will verify injectivity in reservoirs as well as study the properties of reservoirs using long-term water injection, seismic surveys and pressure-based fracture tests.
The project will also plan the further work of establishing a CO2 lab on Svalbard, assess capture technology for the power plant / alternatively another way of obtaining CO2 to carry out test injections.
