05/06/2008The aim of the project is to develop and demonstrate a new compact stripper where the following process units are integrated: column, condenser, separator, reflux pump and reboiler. The stripper should be able to handle all types of liquid absorbents, but during this project period there is only a focus on the use of MEA.
Theoretical calculations indicate a significant reduction of energy in the stripping process, and that the thermal degradation is expected to be low due to the short residence time in the stripper.
