Completion of pre-project for EU application to LOWCAP (low carbon region in the north sea)

The LOWCAP pilot project in the North Sea region aims to exchange knowledge and experience about energy-efficient measures / processes, and the reduction of CO₂ emissions between the partners in the North Sea region. The pilot project will gather relevant results and identify synergies. The results will be discussed with other interest groups in the region and presented to decision-makers in the public sector, and to end users in industry and society.

In combination with a review of other EU programs and available literature, LOWCAP will help to lay the foundation for a strategy for how the goals for CO₂ reduction in the North Sea region can be achieved, as well as to disseminate advisory information to decision-makers. This strategy will be the basis for the main project application to be developed and submitted in 2013.

The main task for Tel-Tek in the project will be to establish a competent consortium within CCS which together will help to clarify the necessity of CCS, for further work on the development of the main project with start-up granted.
