3C Pilot, commercialization and technology qualification for TRL 3

The project is a continuance of three former CLIMIT project with the aim of commercializing a concept of Rotating Packed Bed (RPB) Absorber, and a Rotating Desorber Wheel (RDW) stripper. This project has an aim of long term testing a Pilot plant, and in addition do tests on different types of solvents to prove solvent neutrality. After these tests have been completed Compact Carbon Capture (3C) technology has reached a Technology Readyness Level 5.

The project is performed by Compact Carbon Capture AS in close collaboration with Fjell Technology Group AS (FTG), Equinor, SINTEF and Prototech AS. The tests are performed at Equinors Test Facilities PLAB at Herøya in Porsgrunn, with different types of solvents on simulated flue gas.
