10/02/2011Establish a CO2 injection laboratory on Svalbard as a basis for CO2 research at UNIS and in the SUCCESS FME center. The sub-project applied for will carry out further studies in order to qualify the reservoir for CO2 injection, including also assessing the roof rock by drilling two shallow wells with a view to studying the risk of leakage. The roof rock will be tested geomechanically and hydraulically. The wells are thought to be used as observation wells later in the project. Baseline investigations around the injection point will also be carried out.
