Pore scale numerical analysis for geological sequestration of CO₂

The project will further develop the company’s so-called e-Core technology to be usable for CO₂ injection. Adaptation and development of a simulation program for CO₂ injection shall be carried out.

Academically, the project will contribute to the following objectives:
Establish good practices for numerical simulation of pore-scale CO₂ behavior in a multiphase flow, including displacement mechanisms and capillary capture / storage.
Develop and implement methods for calculating representative petrophysical parameters and transport properties (relative permeabilities and capillary pressures) for CO₂ in sandstone reservoirs, including saturation determinations and storage mechanisms.
• Develop CO₂ injection to be included in the company’s product portfolio.
