Efficient CO₂ transport project

Risavika Gas Center is located 1 km from an LNG plant that can continuously deliver CO₂ to the center. The purpose of the main project is to establish test facilities for research, qualification and improvement of technology for CO₂ transport. In the pre-project phase, the focus is on engineering and cost calculation of test facilities and that the planned functionality ensures as far as possible multidisciplinary use.
This includes, among other things:

• Development of flow improvers for CO₂ in the liquid phase / density phase.
• Functional requirements for test facilities for tests related to pipeline integrity.
• Functional requirements for test facilities for experiments related to pipeline operation and flow assurance.
• Functional requirements for test facilities for full-scale experiments.
• Define test facilities for experiments related to well and reservoir interphase.
