Optimal operation of CO2 capture processes are necessary to ensure minimization of CO2 removal cost, emissions to air and solvent longevity. CO2-loading, amine concentration (blend composition) and water content are dynamic solvent parameters directly related to process performance. Online compositional analysis of gas phase streams in CO2 capture processes is well known.
In this project two multi-components analyzers (ION MLA and SINTEF's prototype) have been developed and tested on liquid phase streams. Two multivariate calculations models have been developed and demonstrated (#1 and #2) for analyses of data from the online analyzer. These models predicts solvent components, water and CO2 for real samples.
